everybody study English? What makes it a global language? English is the
language that facilitates communication in thousands of individual
contacts made daily all over the world. It is used in air, land and sea
communication, in information technology, sports, TV, movies, science,
politics, music... English is necessary to surf and chat on the internet, to e-
mail people around the world, to read international books, magazines,
announcements, ads, song lyrics, instructions, manuals, scientific journals,

2. Não sei explicar muito em forma didática, mas você só se usa because quando falando o porque você gosta de algo, a forma mais fácil de explicar isso seria dizer que se usa because quando o porque é junto e why quando separado, mas não tenho muita certeza disso.
